Using some of the data analysis tools available at My NASA Data to learn about how climage change is affecting polar bears

Using My NASA Data to learn how climage change is affecting polar bears

In this lab you will examine how snow and ice cover changed on the Earth between 1994 and 2004, and you will learn how to use some of the data analysis tools available at My NASA Data. You will use NASA satellite data to study temperature and snow-ice coverage in the South Beaufort Sea, Alaska. The data can be used to correlate with USGS ground tracking of polar bears, and to relate this to global change, sea ice changes, and polar bear migration. The data can be used to draw conclusions surrounding any migration patterns in the region. Start by clicking on the button at left to open a pdf with the lab instructions. Then click button 2 below to open the NASA Data web tool. Using the web tool, follow the instructions in the pdf to complete the lab.
